How to Make Cream and Low-Fat Milk on Your Micro Dairy Farm with Milky Day Cream Separators

Hey guys, today we are going to talk about cream separators and the benefits these handy machines bring to small dairy farmers. Are you still selling raw milk to big dairy companies? Well, in this case you’re losing a huge portion of potential profit that could not only cover your farm maintenance costs, but make you rich. Back to the old days, many dairy farmers used to supply homemade products like sour cream, butter, and cheese to local markets within their areas. However, increased competition with dairy corporations, in fact, pushed mini-farms out of this business.

Luckily, the rapidly growing popularity of organic foods changed this trend in the last couple of decades. Now family farms have got a chance to be in demand again with their natural dairy products. Sounds great, right? At Milky Day, we get you covered. Take a look at our milk cream separators that will help you to automate milk processing and provide you with an ideal amount of cream and low-fat milk – the primary ingredients for making all sorts of dairy products on a small and medium sized farm.

In our dairy equipment store, you can buy a cream separator that best meets your specific requirements in terms of power supply, capacity, and material. There are electrical cream separators that operate in 230v and 115v mode, and you can even order a manual cream separator allowing you to process milk without electricity! Depending on the amount of raw milk available on your dairy farm, you can choose a model with different productivity characteristics ranging from 80 to 600 liters per hour!

  2. Assemble the device in accordance with our manuals. You can also find cream separator assembly video guides on our YouTube channel.
  3. After turning on the cream separator, the drum gains work speed in approximately 30-40 seconds.
  4. For better cream separation, it’s important to pour hot water into the bowl first.
  5. After that, you can pour whole milk and start separating cream from it. Don’t forget to turn the stopper on the milk receiver’s edge to the notch.
  6. Keep in mind that it’s best to use milk with temperature around 35o C.
  7. Collect skimmed milk and separated cream into different containers.

To give you a quick idea of what you can get with milk cream separator, 10 liters of raw milk can result into 0.7 liters of 40% cream and the remaining amount of 2.5% milk. The regulating screw allows to modify the amount of fat in the final product.
